NASA is sending out 2 ships on the most large scale and important space mission in human history. The crew will be made up of the leading people in their respective fields, scientists, security, officers, technicians, agriculture experts, you name it.

88 of the best and brightest people on Earth, and you. In space for 3 years doing vital work and research

By complete concidence everyone asigned to one of the vessels is male and everyone assigned to its sister ship is female. It just turned out that way with the top people in their respective fields.

However your role on the ship will be a layman. Things like cleaning, doing odd jobs, carrying stuff, unclogging the chicken soup machine. All the day to day random of the moment shit everyone else is too important to do.

Since your role requires no skill and your counterpart for the other vessel is running late. NASA says that unlike everyone else, you can actually get to choose which ship you will serve on

Female ship. As one poster said previous, 3 years is a long time and people have needs. Can probably fuck at least a third of the ship at minimum. Maybe even get invited to some group sex sessions.
