I know it's not super realistic but I also know that I didn't enjoy my high school experience to the fullest :\ I also have no idea why that's such a big deal, it's been over ten years. The second season is kinda shaky because of the writers strike, but it's really a solid drama. High school shows tend to decline in quality when they have to add new characters, but FNL actually improved a bit imo I was the same with the OC. Girlfriends always tried to get me to watch it with them in high school, and I just wasn't about that. Then there was the whole plot where Veronica's dad was going to turn the town into a mass prison and kill Archie and Archie escaped to another town that looked like something out of Half-Life 2 because Veronica's dad had bought everything and sucked the town dry for... a different prison lmao. And then Veronica bought that ~~soda fountain speak easy? I mean it's a cool idea but they tried to make it seem all shady and illegal.~~ Also Archie's boxing situation made no sense at all - ~~he OWNS a fucking boxing gym, but he needs his mother's permission to enter a boxing tournament??~~ There are just so many disconnects. Then there was the whole plot where Veronica's dad was going to turn the town into a mass prison and kill Archie and Archie escaped to another town that looked like something out of Half-Life 2 because Veronica's dad had bought everything and sucked the town dry for... a different prison lmao. And then Veronica bought that soda fountain speak easy? I mean it's a cool idea but they tried to make it seem all shady and illegal. Also Archie's boxing situation made no sense at all - he OWNS a fucking boxing gym, but he needs his mother's permission to enter a boxing tournament?? There are just so many disconnects.
