My family was very much into gaming. Every night was board games or card games. But we did also have most systems.

My moms game was Toe Jam and Earl and Colums
My grandmothers was Doctor Mario and surprisingly Zombies Ate My Neighbors which she often beat on her own many times.

Video games. My first console was the Atari. Then we got Nintendo and gameboys. My dad played games with us all the time.

We also had card game nights with friends.

No. My siblings and I would game, sometimes together.
Now that we're all older, and I know this now, I try to play card/board games with my mom.
I have quite a few people in my life who really don't care for video games. It bites in the sense they're the closest to me (my girlfriend for one).

My mom was really into Tetris and Bomberman.

When I was 7, a classmate let me borrow Kirby's Avalanche and said I could have it for $10, which I thought was a lot at the time. I wasn't into it (it's one of those competitive puzzle games). My mom gave me $10 and kept the game. My parents were on the SNES for months playing that game.

My mom was into games like Tetris and the like. Also card game.

My father mostly preferred flight simulators, but he also played a bunch of FPS games. He actually beat Redneck Rampage long before I did, and we used to see who could get through Doom levels the fastest.

My dad was into Descent 1-3 on PC, several PDA games, and sega genesis games. The Sonic games, that one X-men game, Pitfall I think. After that, I got an N64 and he abandoned gaming. Think it was my mom (she wasn't into games, except I think monopoly on sega a few times), who didn't like him spending that much time on that digital addiction, so he just dropped them entirely for other hobbies. Always surprised me that he could abandon a hobby that easily, since I was addicted to them myself. And then he just ended up spending tons of time watching television. At least a lot of it was documentaries, I guess.

Any time I'd bring up the fact that he stopped a good hobby, he said he was going to get back into gaming 'soon', but he never did until just recently. Now he's played Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, AC Odyssey, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution/Mankind Divided on PC. Haven't found any decent multiplayer games that I imagine he'd be interested in though, so mostly I just help out whenever he's hard stuck on some problem, which is rarer than I thought it would be. In fact I'm pretty sure I just speed up the process.

Video games? no. Board/Card games? yes.

Although some of my cousins who are younger than me played some games, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that really still plays them a lot though.

We used to play sports together (basketball mainly, but outdoor yard sports as well).

We used to do board games as well.

My dad used to play madden a lot, but he stopped for maybe 10 years, but will probably pick it up this year since Patrick Mahomes is on the cover (he's a big chiefs fan). He also used to play mario and stuff- i think he may have gotten 120 stars, or at least very close to it, in mario 64. That was the last mario game besides mario kart that I've seen him play.

My mom and sister have very rarely played games. Maybe just mario kart, and mario party. More recently however, my sister has express interest in playing games, and we have played minecraft together (she was hooked on that for awhile).

My two brothers play games a lot, and we'll play games together on line from time to time

Not really but i guess more than expected. Had a step uncle that would play super Mario bros 3 with us. My mom played yoshis safari with us. Step grandad had doom on his computer and once he pissed me off as he played on my gameboy and overwrote my save file.

When I was a kid my mom played Super Mario 1-3 on the NES, and then Columns on the Sega Genesis. She kinda just stopped playing games when she got a computer though.

My dad didn't become a gamer really until his 40's (he'd randomly play Mortal Kombat with us, but never consistently). He started with the 360 playing any FPS's he could get his hands on, and always played them on the hardest difficulty. He was pretty damn good actually. He then got a PS3, and then a PS4 for the shooters.

When he died my mom gave me his 360 with his last remaining game for the system... the ultimate FPS... Aliens: Colonial Marines!

Only my younger brother and I played video games. My older sister has no interest in games at all. My parents would never touch them.

The only other member of my family that would play games with me was my aunt when I was 6. We'd play Mario Kart 64 and I used to flip shit in embarrassment any time she'd beat me, lmao.

My family didn't play board games at all. I played them by myself.

My cousins played some video games up until early in the SNES era. Then they were too busy with hard drugs and sold me their consoles for cheap.

My mom played a little NES and Gameboy, but after that everything was too complicated for her.

So I was the only gamer in my entire family and treated like a huge weirdo for it. Hey, at least I didn't need to DNA test 7 guys and still not get the dad right until the kid was like 10. :P

I used to play point and click adventure PC games with my dad growing up (Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Toonstruck, etc etc). My older brother isn't much of a gamer but I played on his PS1 when I was younger and he used to play on the original Xbox many years ago, that's about it as far as having a gamily family goes.

My girlfriend doesn't get it. But she enjoys drama where I enjoy comedy. We're just different in a sense with entertainment.
She sees me stressing and confused, instead of mentally challenged by the game, and so it turns her off. When I'm running around an rpg trying to find where to go, she finds it weird that I can be lost but that can be part of the puzzle aspect of the game.
I try to tell her how bad I am at gaming and how much harder I probably make it look, but it doesn't stick.
I mean, I love NFL blitz. If I had seen someone play that without much knowledge, I'd think they were being punished.
