I'm strongly considering moving to one instead of the Note 10+ since it seems terrible.
But I'd miss the stylus vastly.

Sell me on it. I don't own a Mac or will consider one. I already have an iPad but rarely use it outside of books/drawing/second screen for work stuff.

I'd get whatever one is flagship, not sure on screen size XR or XS Max depending on if I buy a mini iPad

If you've been using android all this time, everything will just seem unintuitive and in the "wrong" place and it will be frustrating.

I had an iPhone for work and hated it immensely coming from a long time Android user who originally had an iPhone when they first came out. I also don't own an iPad but have a MBP.

What about the Note 10+ seems so terrible? I haven't been following Samsung for a while as I'm pretty much loyal to OnePlus these days.

Just in general not many, if any improvements for it. The software is still Android and rooting it isn't useful anymore outside of maybe sytemwide adblocker for free games that can't disable google ads in by buying a premium version.
It seems like it's jkust not worth it.
Contract is out this year so I can upgrade from a Note 8but just don't see the reason to. On the other hand since I'm still paying for the contract I might as well get the 900ish discount they offer

Ive enjoyed every one Ive had a lot. Its really just personal preference. I really like the look and form of them and I like that I will always get the same general user experience and the integration between different Apple products is great. But there is good reasons to use Android phones too.

I have had iphones for years, I finally switched over to the note 9 last year

pros of iphones:
- they are fast & consistently good quality
- everyone (at least in the US) has iphones so you can take advantage of things like imessage or facetime
- lots of apps look or work better on iPhone, often come out first on iOS
- works really well with other apple products, if you have them
- if you have an issue with your phone you can take it to the apple store and they will probably fix it within an hour rather than having to mail in your phone for a week to the manufacturer like you would with android phones
- there are a ridiculous amount of accessories available for iPhones and stuff like car stereos will likely work better with it than android phones

cons of iphones:
- very overpriced for the specs you get
- OS & design in general feel really dated
- notifications are kind of a mess
- you might get annoyed by how "locked down" everything is
- still behind on a lot of features you'd think would be standard by now, like fast charging (iphones still come with regular chargers)
- camera is not as good as most of the big android phones

personally I like iphones but their OS and price is a turn off for me

All you'd be missing from your Note8 is the headphone jack. Everything else about the Note10+ is better.
