You knew he was going to lose and die at the end of the movie. Just curious what the haters expectations were...If anything Infinity War Thanos went out like a bitch and his early death undid all the built up awesomeness from Infinity War. The "Russian dude" you are referring to, I believe, is Zemo, a Sokovian, in Civil War, not AoU. But yeah, a bad MF for sure. As for Thanos: I'm glad someone brought up the difference between IW & Endgame. IW Thanos had the journey of gathering the Stones. He collected the Power Stone off-screen, and then when he got the Space Stone and all of a sudden he has more Infinity Stones than anyone in history, that's when the quest began to change and humble him. Then of course when he got the Soul Stone, it broke a part of him, but because he's such a good character and he was so driven, of course he had to continue, and actually fight a bit for the last 2 Stones. By the time the Gauntlet was complete, he was just like "lemme get this fuckin thing done." Endgame Thanos was a totally different character. He never went through the "humbling" process of the the Infinity Stones quest. He just realized getting them was in his future, and also where he could go to just get them all at once. Simply getting to skip the Soul Stone part makes a huge difference in the 2 versions of the character. THEN, with no Stones, we get to see just how much of a villain, and how much of a terrifying badass he actually was. The Hulk beatdown in IW was just a sneak preview. Yes, in that brief fight he had the Power Stone, but didn't use it nor did he need to use it.
