Without being 100% sure, I'm still kinda positive she was in S1. I don't remember her being "introduced" in S2.

It actually addresses exactly what people were worried about: That Saitama would just be nerfed to fight evenly with everybody else. That's what fans didn't want.

The reception to this idea seems very positive.

Despite what nanis says, it does provide an answer on what they're doing with Saitama

but the actual problem is it really does raise more questions as a result

Its clearly not a prolonged Fatality where the loser is humiliated for an extra 10 seconds because Mumen Rider was losing before Saitama ran in

and that also means hes not a time out mechanic either, again, Mumen Rider was losing that fight

as a matter of fact, the timer says infinite. Could you time out Saitama and get a draw if you have time on?

Saitama seems to be absent during the 3v3 announcement

Is Saitama just a single player thing?

Genos does decent damage to Sea King, so that means its definitely possible to defeat them before Saitama shows up. At least we know the entire game won't revolve around "Holding out for a hero" at least

Saitama took a few punches with no damage, so I doubt you can defeat him

is this just an extra fanservicesy thing you can initiate thats not important to the match at all? I think some DBZ games do that when you do canon actions during canon match ups

I basically look at it like this

Picking Saitama puts you at a 3 on 2 disadvantage for the entire fight, but there's pressure on both sides. One to prolong ther fight as long as possible and the other to finish it quickly.

My only actual question is once he comes in does he defeat the entire team or does the only defeat one and then take off

This is what I think is going on based on the trailer. It's a 3v3 fighter and you choose Saitama as one of your three. However, you can't use him in battle until the Saitama timer runs out (not the same as the match timer). So you are effectively using 2 characters against your opponent's 3 characters until Saitama shows up. I assume if your opponent plays badly, you can just beat them with 2 characters without Saitama ever showing up. Once Saitama does show up, I think he works as a full character just that all of his attacks are OHKOs. He isn't just some cutscene special that beats on your opponents. If the match timer is turned on, you can probably stall out an opponent Saitama. Depending on how much time is left, it may be very difficult to stall out an invincible character that has OHKO attacks.

I get the impression it will be very difficult to balance Saitama from a gameplay perspective. They really have to get the timer mechanic just right.
