Yep, had the collector edition when it first came out on PSX. I beat the first one, got pretty far into the second one but I got bored and quit for awhile, forgot where I was, started over, rinse and repeat a few times, yeah, never beat it. Same with Third, tho third is kinda boring because it was just hunter missions, story kinda boring, so I gave up on that one on the third continent.

Overall I did enjoy the series and I do want to beat the second one someday.

Also, my name is the protagonists from Arc the Lad: Twilight of Spirits

I've only played the first game -- on the Arc the Lad Collection (PS1). The only thing I remember is how it ends.

Doesn't it end with humanity getting wiped out

^ I don't think so. AtL1&2 were originally going to be one game, then it got broken into two games, so AtL1 just basically... ends. That might be the ending of AtL2.

Never beat 2 but 3 talks about some great catastrophe. Though you see some protagonists from 2 in 3 as well so idk how it big it was .

Yes, I have played all of the games in the series. I really enjoyed the characters and remember the story was interesting.

The series is a grid based turn based RPG, except for the last game. One of the big concepts in the original trilogy was bringing characters from the previous game into the sequel. They also had a bounty hunter job system to earn extra cash which I thought was a cool system.

Arc the Lad is about 8-10 hours to get fully through it and ends on a cliffhanger.

Arc the Lad 2 is a continuation of the story from 1 with a new set of characters. It took me about 120 hours to finish, and had to spend a lot of time grinding to level the characters and still felt really under leveled going into the final boss. I remember just barely beating the final boss.

Arc the Lad 3 takes place many years after the second game with a new set of characters. I think it took me about 80 hours to completely finish it.

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits has all brand new characters and used an area movement system instead of a grid but is still turn based. I really liked the story and characters with the focus on two opposite factions and how their stories intertwine.

Arc the Lad: End of Darkness completely changes to a action RPG. Was a loose continuation of Twilight of the Spirits, but had the ability to summon characters from throughout the series. I cant remember much else about the game though.

I thought the ending of 2 was a big deal. Spoiler warning for the end of Arc 2. Arc 2 ends on a really downer ending with the catastrophe wiping out most of the life on earth and Arc and Kukuru sacrificing their lives to protect as many as they could, but not too many survive.
