Mr Crispy 08/28/19 8:30:58 PM #12:	eh it's been ages since I played it but I vaguely remember the sentiment of it cutting out most of the neat environmental interaction/puzzles using weapons/magic that I thought was neat with the original and made it stand out like cutting down trees and grass or freezing enemies to weigh down switches, and added in a ton of other mechanics/subsystems to try to build off of past games but in the end didn't really add anything meaningful to the gameplay or make it any more fun just more complex. also, you basically had to babysit the other character the entire time without them actually capable of doing anything helpful fighting monsters/bosses, when in the original you didn't have to worry about them getting hit so they at least contributed a little to fighting bosses. was kind of lukewarm about the plot rewrites/added dialog too. While it's not terrible or unplayable or anything like that, it's still just mediocre and kind of bloated and a poor imitation of/substitute for multiple games in the series so I don't really feel like ever going back to it again while I've probably beaten the original at least four or five times. --- The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons.
