Not that anyonr here probably cares but im bored. Kinda sad I didnt actually get to at least witness a trial. Guy took a plea deal the moment the jury got selected guess he didnt like how they looked.

First guy that I got booted off the jury for by the defense attorney apparently the judge ended up dismissing the defendant without even letting the jury have a say in the matter. She said she felt there wasnt enough evidence.

Oddly both cases where the same crime. Stealing a gun. Guy that took the plea however had the added charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Edit: but hey im getting 52 bucks for all that sitting around and doing nothing. Id bitch if I missed work or something for that shit cause I made almost that in a day of minimum wage for what was 3 days of jury duty. But still waiting to start my new job so it was free money basically.

I was summoned once but I didnt go. It was for a murder trial in a small town where Im from so I wasnt getting involved. On top of other reasons.

Thats a really low minimum-wage. I cant remember the last time I made less than $130 in a day, and even thats low.

Minimum wage here is something like 7.25 I think. Its been a few years since thats all i made but after a 8 hour shift at bk BEFORE taxes I made roughly 45 bucks iirc. I remember doing the math to figure it out but I could be remembering wrong on the exact amount I came too.

Edit: 100 bucks a day is the highest ive ever been paid but that was tax free so that all went in my pocket. That was literally my pay rate too. Not a hourly wage or annual salary. A daily salary.

When I was up north I was getting $25x8 and then $37.50x4 on weekdays, and weekends were $37.50x12. And we were only in the tank for half the day. I wonder what the pay is like down there for the same thing.

At least you didnt have to spend weeks somewhere else. Did they make you travel?

Probably less. My best friend wanta to move back down here but is hesitant because hea making a killing doing what he does up there and knows its far less here. Cost of living is a lot cheaper here though. Saw a house the other for sale. With a 13k down payment monthly payement would have been 385. And it was a decent place 2 bed 2 full full bath. Also saw a 4 bedroom 2 bath ecen cheaper. It was just in a crappy location (mechanic literally across the street so noise level)

Edit. Also my step father completely supported a family of 6 off his pay by himself and all he made at the time was like 20 a hour iirc.
