81 y/o Actress, Jane Fonda says she is "scared for our democracy" and in order to raise political awareness for the crucial 2020 election, she is going door to door in Pennsylvania and talking to TRUMP SUPPORTERS!!

She returned to political activism to canvass for WorkingAmerica in a working class neighborhood in Scranton where she spoke with disgruntled Trump voters who are open about their political views and concerns and educated them on Trump's policies

Jane says she's scared for their ability to live together in community across lines of race, class and religion and for her grandchildren and the planet. She says the contorted and polarized landscape has been started by leaders at the highest level

She realized how powerful it was speaking to voters face to face and said "I saw a path forward recently in Scranton, where i spent a lot of time in hot, humid evenings knocking on doors with Working America"

Working Class was founded in 2003 as the largest non-union workers organization in the US and recruits people in working class neighborhoods to support labour backed candidates.

She recalled talking to 40's something Steve who said he doesn't trust any of the candidates and Edith, a Trump Supporter but who is not liking his language and Sharon, a gung-ho Trump supporter who didn't realize the president's health bill would mean her son's insurance would stop covering him due to preexisting conditions

Jane recalls how Sharon STOPPED breathing for a moment as she replied "I had no idea, i can't let that happen.".

Fonda said "It's voters like these we need to talk with. those who are dispirited and confused like Steve; ambivalent like Edith and uninformed like Sharon"

She says the respectful conversation opens the door to voters to hear and understand new information on issues they care about, assuring they have more an informed vote

Fonda says the best way is to OUTSMART FACEBOOK algorithms and digital meddling by holding face to face conversations and said "I've seen it. The process builds trust and it sends a message. You matter enough that i'm here on your doorstep. I've seen the power of face to face contact since i became an activist 5 decades ago. I met some 800 volunteers in Modesto who knocked on doors for more than a year before the 2018 election. We don't need to choose between Democrat base voters and swing voters. All working people, no matter their race, ethnicity,gender, faith or sexual orientation or gender identity,need a stake and say in our society. all they need to hear that they're part of We the People. Talking with them, not at them, is the best way to do. People such as Steve are looking for someone to help them sort things out and to dare to care again. We can start the process of healing and winning back our country one conversation at a time"

Democrats should be preparing for 2024 so they can have the best chance of winning because they have little chance of winning 2020. They would've had a chance if they stopped trying to reject perfectly good Democratic candidates that turned out to be old, male and/or pale.
