Well its only like a month away either way

If its anything like the Umineko demo its just going to be like the first 2 chapters anyway.

I'll be awaiting the music uploads, that's what I'm most excited about.

I simultaneously can't wait and also fear this dropping because I'm finally starting to pull ahead of all the games coming out and this will likely totally derail that.

Can I just say again how completely wild it is that we're getting an English release right away, and with official Witch Hunt involvement? I love that Umineko had that much impact.

Yeah that's pretty ridiculous actually

Well first off it might not actually be segmented like the other two games.

Secondly, it's being simultaneously translated into English. That's a rather normal price point for most VNs. Unless it's super short or something. But I'm sure we can all afford to pay out 40 dollars for a great product after pirating all of Umineko (unless you are a normie and read the updated versions with PS3 graphics)

4 Episodes have been confirmed so far. (Specifically, in "When They Cry 5", so it might still be more since the second arc is always another number)

Though maybe we'll get like 20 hour Episodes or something who knows.

It still seems quite steep.

Theres a bigger budget involved. They're attempting to actually make profit you know? Most crowdfund projects are looking to divert about 30% of the proceeds to the TL group. So add on that amount to the price youd be getting if they didnt do a simultaneous result. Then figure in extra costs since it has a higher budget apparently.

Also Umineko 1 is definitely not 10 hours long. Probably.

Umineko 1 without listening to voices on average takes about 8 hours to complete for an average reader.

And I'm still going to buy it, its just I wish it was like at least $10 cheaper.

The biggest plot twist in the demo is That Miyao is male. My trap radar was super broken for that one, thought for sure he'd be female based on all the promo stuff.

Otherwise that was pretty enjoyable. Ryuukishi wasted no time on busting out the troll faces too which was great.

Looking forward to the full release.

Didn't really like any of the music so far :(

Unsure how I feel about this so far after going through the demo, we'll see I suppose.
