He went to New Japan first Chris Jericho and Don Callis are both from the small town of Winnipeg, the only two famous people from there until Kenny Omega came along. Don Callis helped out Omega a lot in his New Japan career, and then that's how Jericho meet Omega for his Podcast. One thing lead to another, Jericho shows up and attacks Kenny Omega, and they have their WrestleKingdom match. That leads to more matches with New Japan, and then all The Elite leave New Japan to form of AEW, and Jericho goes with them to help with that. But Jericho is still working with New Japan.
