Maybe she didnt want to be a band person, like Eclair said. Its easy to ignore FB messages. I do it accidentally all the time by just not checking it. But text is usually harder to ignore. And ignoring that might make her feel like a bad person possibly...

I found that out the hard way. Kind of stupid really. What it is the point of this, especially if there's no notification of any messages in that separate page?

This. I fall into that trap all the time, it's a totally different inbox and you can't set it up to email or alert you when you get a new message in it or anything. It's such a nuisance.
