Feeling like playing through at least some of them again. I've played the GBA and DS ones, but not the 3DS ones or remakes. Are the 3DS ones any good, and are the remakes worth playing over the originals?

I mean, if you've played the originals, I would try out the remakes just because they give the game a new coat. They did some great changes, and then some I disagree with, but nothing too big.

I really liked the 3DS originals as well, particularly Dream Team. Paper Jam has fun gameplay, perhaps not the most ambitious story, and I feel like the elements that people love about Paper Mario aren't there in terms of the portrayals of them all, but there are always funny moments to me.

I haven't played the remakes, but Dream Team was pretty good barring the gyro-controlled sections. Got kinda unbearable in the later ones. Was a little disappointed in Paper Jam, it got back to the basic "Bowser is evil, he kidnapped the princess, only there's two of them!" story. I kept expecting the plot to flip and reveal the real enemy or one of the Bowsers to trick the other to take all the glory (like some scenes implied) but it never happened. Game was fun, but I never bothered to 100% it. Which brings me to my other point, it's probably the shortest Mario & Luigi after Superstar Saga. Or at least it felt like it.

They're funnier AND more fun than the Paper Mario games. They aren't a true sequel to Super Mario RPG but they're a lot closer. I love them.

Dream Team was good, but heavy on dialogue and annoying tutorials.

Paper Jam had a lighter story, but I thought it was more fun.

I only really enjoyed the original. BiS was ok but I lost interest. Never played the time travel one. Dream team bored the shit out of me. Paper jam just looked kinda crap so I didn't bother.
