Fairly reliable, but mass media outlets are always prone to sensationalizing and simplifying stories because theyre competing for clicks/views.
Also, every source is biased. Bias is not just making stuff up, not even primarily. Its a matter of framing and what does and doesnt get reported on, which views are treated seriously and which are ignored, and what is emphasized and what is relegated to the back pages or a sub-link or whatever.
For example: illegals, illegal aliens, migrants, undocumented immigrants, refugees, unaccompanied minors, etc. etc. are all used to describe people who cross into the United States without going through the legal process, but these terms frame the people doing so very differently.

Newsmax. Just joking. More like Newsy for me and BBC but I sometimes watch the other side like FoxNews, OAN and yeah even Newsmax to see how they think too. So are any of them reliable? BBC I guess. And forgot PBS.

Easiest method is to check sites against each other. If you're sticking to one "side", you're doing it wrong. As far as neutrality, NPR seems closest.

Fox is crap, obviously.

look for independent journalists that report solely the information and don't try to interject their personal opinions.

Do you have... examples? Cause this just sounds like blogs, and I have yet to see a politics blog without opinions.

Subverse News, Ben Swann. They aren't mainstream but all mainstream media shows a slanted bias.

So I was wondering if someone does not view any news sources because they feel it's all biased then how do those people get informed about current events? And it occurred to me it can be done by reading tech and gaming forums. I'm not trolling here. In a gaming forum like this one you could read posters' reactions to news events and try to avoid quotes from the news organizations.

But then maybe the tech and gaming forums are biased too? If everyone in the world is biased then the posters including us have a bias. And an entire thread may be biased one way or another affecting the person who is avoiding news sites and cable/broadcast news. However this site and others like it may be less biased than news organizations? If that's a stretch then this post may not be going anywhere with my little theory in the first paragraph.
