Now that we have all had time to let the final season sink in, what order would everyone rate the seasons? Mine:
3>1>2>4

3: This was the peak season IMO. Clementine is always best as a side character, and she was used just the right amount as this badass 13 year old in this season. Javier was also a great protagonist who had a really interesting story, and I think the gameplay/puzzles here were almost as good as the first. You can tell the devs learned a lot from season 2 and made improvements.

1: Almost as good as 3, probably had the most well rounded characters of all the seasons, and a strong plot. Lee will always be the GOAT protagonist, and this season also IMO had the best gameplay by a long shot. This was the only season that seemed like a real challenge in the puzzle department, the rest were just go talk to everyone and the story will move forward. Finally getting that train rolling, solving the cannibal farmer mystery, and storming the high school while also figuring out how that society fell were all gameplay highlights.

2: I actually really liked the story of this season, had a lot of good characters, and the storyline I always choose with Clem having to shoot Kenny cause he is so far gone might be the strongest story telling in the series. Carver was one of the best villains, but was gone too soon. Also this is where the gameplay took a massive dive, besides Clem sewing herself up in episode 1, everything else just seemed like a long strong of quick time events with pauses to walk around and talk before going to the character to advance the story, no difficulty at all.

4. It is amazing they were able to put this good of a season together after the studio fell apart 2 episodes in, that is amazing, but I dont want to grade on a curve. Lily was an awful antagonist, and even though a bunch of interesting stuff gets hinted at like giant wars all along the coast, we never get to see it. All the characters were very meh, and the plot was super simple, just revolving around one simple escape. Maybe its because I had played 3 seasons already, but all the choices here seemed very obvious and way too extreme. It was either Option A: have AJs back, but he does something way too extreme and people are pissed or B: tell AJ to be rational, then the villains pop up and kill characters, plus AJ hates you. First time I really felt the choices were meh. Still, the last episode was a perfect sendoff for Clem and AJ. That raid of the base to pick up baby AJ and everything after was top notch, I really wish the rest of the season could have been that good.
