One of my friends is the complete opposite. Can't buy into the whole spirit/demon thing and just kinda finds it a little silly because of it.
That said, I think I'd agree they're the scariest. Outside of jumpscares, Slashers are almost like a differently paced action movie (imagine if the killer had a gun instead of a knife, you're basically watching a slower, less flashy John Wick). The supernatural horror of spirits and demons etc can really build a tense and frightening atmosphere before anything even happens. I love all the horrors, though I do very much miss the iconic slashers at this point. You've never met a man messed up on drugs I've seen people get stabbed and ignore it Cops taze people on Meth or PCP all the time several times and it has no effect because despite wrecking the body the mental state of the person just accept it --- ...
