If you are really fat and you lose 20 lbs, you are still really fat.

You don't get to feel better even after you put in a lot of effort.

I feel like you should still feel better. 20 lbs. is still a lot and must be noticeable to some degree.

Here's the cold, raw truth about being fat... If you're seriously fat and you actually get your shit together and start losing weight you will lose a lot of weight really quickly. I literally cut out all pop, drank a bunch of water daily to quench my hunger, tracked what I ate, limited my salt intake and I literally lost 36lbs in 2 months, that's without exercise brother. With exercise you're looking at around 10lbs and your body becoming more anatomically correct(youll look better).

I forget where I'm going with this, but yes, there's a lot of things that suck about being fat.

I feel no emotion about it, if anything I feel discouraged about how it feels like nothing.

I've lost like 60lbs before and even it was underwhelming because I wasn't yet "not fat".

That isn't how it works.

Different people are wired differently. I'm overweight yes, and I do minimal exercise, but I guarantee I'm still skinnier than either you or TC. And there's people that eat worst than me and exercise less, and are skinnier still.

Comments like this, especially ones calling it "the hard truth" don't help anyone. It only serves to make YOU feel better by putting others down and diminishing people like TC's accomplishments. That's where you were "going with this".

You definitely deserve to feel better about yourself, that's a hell of an achievement regardless of starting weight - it shows that you DO have the discipline and control to work towards your goals. Some people would have given up before then, but you didn't.

It's weird, but I literally do not feel any sense of achievement, and I do not know how to make myself feel that.

On the flip side telling people its all genetic so dont even bother trying is just as damaging.

Well, I can't make you feel certain things. But my advice is certainly to remind yourself of this achievement when you eventually hit a stumbling block and have a bad week in terms of eating and weight gain and might be tempted to think "what's the point?" and quit.

You CAN do it. You've proved it. Small encounters with individual failures are not the end of the journey, learn from them and continue forward.

You started the process and already got results. Now you have to maintain your motivation to keep going. It's not easy but neither was the first step and you did that already.

Post makes no sense. The only person diminishing tc's accomplishment is tc himself. An accomplishment he presumably achieved through diet and exercise.

the thing about being really fat is that you've already fucked your body up beyond what it can repair itself. you're gonna have loose skin and stretch marks no matter how much you work out, not to mention the damage you've done to yourself internally

keep at it bro
