Do you guys go outside and actually interact with black people or are rap videos the extent of your experience with them?

If anything this is classist but dress codes arent really a new thing. I got refused entry to a club once for wearing sweatpants and Im white.

I think a lot of times Americans use race to refer to culture. And this creates a lot of the disconnect between the sides. Like this is clearly meant to discriminate against a culture predominantly associated with African Americans. It's a type of cultural discrimination. One of the main reasons I think this is the case is you often hear people in America saying someone or something is racist against Muslims. But that's objectively not possible. Muslims can be and are of any race, it's a religion. What they mean is someone is bigoted against Islamic culture. But racism is used kind of as a catch-all for bigotry. So in this topic you have people going this isn't racist because it doesn't target skin color or any other actual racial aspect of a person. Whereas others say it is racist because it discriminates against a culture predominantly associated with a given race.

This disconnect between what racism means seems to be the root cause of the divide here.

My only issue is that I see all the listed regulations at all kinds of places and don't associate any of them specifically with black people. The hat thing is the closest the list comes to being the most microscopic amount suspect and even that I still haven't seen proof of the origins of (sincerely thought that came from baseball fans themselves)
