I was 4 years old in the last year of the '80s, so I don't remember much. But I know I loved Hulk Hogan when I was really little.

No one gives a fuck is people on a video game message board is saying WWF.
Also they are allowed to say WWF if its in past clips, but if its 2019 they have to saw wwe, even when talking about the past.

Yes. It was less organized then, which made it more fun. Plus the wrestlers seemed more fun too. Superfly Snuka, Bam Bam Bigelo, Sgt. Slaughter, Iron Sheik, Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, etc.

I can't remember specific names but the Hulk Hogan-Andre the Giant stuff was good.

Iron Sheik - Sgt Slaughter was cool too. Iron Shiek had a "foreign object" - a big shiny piece of metal that he hit Slaughter with. He had this huge bulge when he hid it in his trunks after hitting Slaughter with it. 20,000 in the stands and millions on TV saw the foreign object, but the ref couldn't find it. The ref would also be distracted by the Iron Shiek's corner so he could pull out this big hunk of metal and beat Sgt. Slaughter with it. Everyone lost their minds over this and we talked about it at school for days.

The supporting cast was good too. Mean Gene, Captain Lou Albano and of course Vince McMahon.

I watched a lot of pro wrestling in the 80s. I was lucky enough to have a fantastic local promotion as well as being apart of the WWF's National expansion as well as the evolution of VHS. It helped my dad was a huge fan as well

Yeah they really leaned on him in the 80's as a villain (Iran, Khadaffi, any generic Arab they needed). IIRC the match I described was 'lost' by Sgt. Slaughter, setting up a big rematch. The rematch may have been PPV (one of the 1st, this was maybe 1984 or so) because my parents wouldn't buy it and I had to watch it a week later on USA Network.

USA Network had a shit ton of wrestling in the '80s too. They were the first to go mid-week with programming (again, IIRC). Before them it was Saturday afternoon only and late night re-runs of wrestling on UHF.

Yeah, my earliest memories watching would be 1992, definitely by 1993. I have the 1993 Wrestlemania music video on VHS and the 1993 Royal Rumble game for Genesis.

I miss going to the video store and getting the Coliseum video VHS tapes with the holographic covers.

Absolutely not. You can use WWF to refer to the origination that used to be called World Wrestling Federation.

However, for a time, WWE could not refer to itelf as WWF or use the scratch logo.

I just remember watching it because it was women in skimpy outfits. This was before GLOW or anything. I would have had a heart attack if they had women's beach volleyball back then.
