I'm going to try restoring to an older windows version to see if that does anything, but this is annoying. I have everything on there

my reliability viewer and event viewer aren't even showing any record of the blue screen. what the hell...

no, it's not showing in BIOS. but windows can still see it, presumably, because when I go to disk management it shows uninitialized disk and asks me to initialize it.

ok after 2 hours of useless stuff, im back where im started

tried switching the sata mode, tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, switching power supply cables, switching sata cables, tried putting it onto a different motherboard. absolutely no response anywhere, but windows is still asking me to initialize it.

i think my best bet is trying that at this point and seeing if that does anything, if it at least lets me detect and map the drive then I can try and run data recovery software on the drive afterwards. does anyone else have any better ideas
