39 y/o Former Heifer, Jessica Simpson has lost an astonishing 100LBS in 6 MONTHS as she stepped out in public after celebrating her daughter's, Birdie Mae's 6 month birthday last week!!...

She reached a massive 240lbs in March as she shared her exciting news on social media while adding it was the first time she would be leaving her youngest daughter. She wrote "6 months, 100lbs down (Yes i tipped the scales at 240lbs. My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, i chose to work harder".

She flashed her physique in a black long sleeve dress while wearing sunglasses

The former singer and WW ambassador strutted out of the house while proudly showing off her figure where previously she had been looking extremely heavy during and after her pregnancy as she described it as the most "difficult" of all of her pregnancies

Former child star of Halloween, Kyle Richards was quick to comment and said "Gorgeous" and Katie Couric stating she looked amazing

Jessica's weight has been the subject of the news as she's gone up and down in recent years and has had trouble maintaining her daisy duke figures in her post stardom career and is hopeful she can remain like this for the rest of her motherhood.

The average recommended amount of calories for an average woman is about 2000 cal/day.
You need to have a net negative of about 3500 calories to lose 1 pound.
6 months is about 180 days.
To lose 100 pounds in 180 days you need to lose about 0.56 lbs per day.
To lose 0.56 lbs per day you'd need to take in a net negative of around 1,960 cal/day.
Meaning she must have took in about 40 calories per day (plus whatever amount she was burning as exercise).
Seems healthy.

I don't understand.

You're not really supposed to be profiting off calories. If you break even you're doing fine I think.

i dont think this is quite right?

the amount you can lose and the speed at which you can lose it is relative to the weight youre starting from... people who are substantially overweight like she was are probably taking in more than the healthy amount of calories per day, so just going down to normal healthy person levels will cause them to lose weight... right? Those people on the oh no im 600 pounds shows can lose over a pound per day for a while.

There's some assumptions made in his math that aren't necessarily true for sure. One, we don't actually know that it's 180 days. The pictures even say "6 monhts to 10 months ago". Two, 2000 is maybe okay for a rule of thumb ballpark to make generalities on, but it's a stand in for the persons actual total daily energy expenditure. Someone significantly overweight probably has a higher "sustaining" calorie total higher than 2000. That would be the amount of calories you eat to maintain your current weight. In order to lose weight, you need to have a deficit from that actual number, not the arbitrary 2000 number he stated.

His entire argument is ridiculous because you can eat 20,000 calories a day and still lose weight. That he thinks she's eating 40 calories a day is LOL

Yes you can? No one would actually do it, but the fact that he boiled it down to 40 calories a day is just as ridiculous as 20k is my point. He clearly has no idea how weight loss works

Keto + Self Control + Light Cardio

I still have more weight to lose, but if I can keep up an average anywhere near 1/2 a pound a day I'm going to be pleased with my progress. And the more weight I lose the easier it gets to stay active so that's a plus.

Day 90 weigh in: 54 lbs.

A below average 10 days, but my day 80 was particularly above average so I'm not entirely surprised. I should still be near 60 in 10 more days.
