I had this match in winners favs back when it would've been Rhapsody vs Echoes of the Mystical Forest and I thought that was insane enough. I went with PSMD there *barely* but this time? ...Yeah I have no idea. This match is too good.

I love Hopes and Dreams a lot of a lot... Which is why it hurts that this match isn't even close to me.

Route 42ne and mis42ne. I hope this polarising and goofy boss theme doesn't murder tsurugi, i just deemed it necessary to fill a quota of silly guitars that define murasaki's soundtracks

Granado Espada - Rapal - Rapal is by far my favorite from its OST! I still prefer PSMD overall, though, so I won't exactly be happy if Rapal wins. (plz dont come down to one or two votes)

In match 1, we got the cool fiddle in Fire Island Volcano vs. the cool violin in Rapal. Giving this to Fire Island Volcano for the fun factor, but these are both very 7/10.

Ah yes match 2, these two songs that appear in every B8 VGM project ever. Clear preference for The Black Song here, never was a fan of H&D. Also isn't there also a different version of The Black Song too, or am I just going crazy and imagining things?

Pokmon G/S/C is my favorite GB/GBC soundtrack ever, but Route 42 has never been one of my favorite route themes. FaMCiSC just has a lot more stuff going on, so I gotta vote against my baby . Also, after some convincing by UF8, I have the original Murasaki game + its soundtrack in my Steam library (I'll play it one day, I promise!)

First match really good, really hard to pick there. The other two matches are..alright, Undertale probably rolled low here I'd say but it was barely enough to sneak by, and while Fortune and Misfortune didn't hit me quite as hard as it maybe should, it still certainly kept me more entertained.

FIV starts out real strong but feels a bit aimless after that. Rapal's almost great, but there's something that feels just a little off about it to me...

I dunno what it is about The Black Song, but it's missing that thing that makes me like Nier songs. It seems like it should be similar in quality to them, but I just... don't care about it at all.

Wow, Route 42 sure is short. Fortune and Misfortune is real good early on, but tapers off a little.

MATCH 1

Don't care much for the boingy instrument in the beginning, but the rest of it is really cool! Reminds me a lot of some of the Ragnarok Online II stuff that's showed up in this contest. Really cool Celtic sound going on with the fast-paced violin playing and I'm very much a fan of songs with that kind of sound! 0:32-0:47 is probably my favorite part of this song.

I like the kind of soft piano and violin stuff going on in Rapal a lot. Pretty close match, but I like Fire Island Volcano a little bit more.

MATCH 2

Kuroi Uta's such a nice song! Really pretty instrumentation with great vocals. Hard to go wrong with that!

Hopes and Dreams is a nice song, albeit kinda overrated. Don't really have much to say about it.

MATCH 3

Route 42's not really anything special to me. Pokemon music is usually good to me, but a lot of times, it's just a pleasant listen and not really anything spectacular. Route 42 applies here.

Fortune and Misfortune is something that got a lot better to me the more I listened to it! And that was just in the first listen of it. Really cool song! I like the melody from 0:40-1:04 quite a bit, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the effects put on that guitar.

Granado Espada - Rapal: 4.5. At first I didn't like this, then the piano part happened and I started liking it, and that eased me into the rest. It also didn't overstay its welcome. I could see this going up a few scores with relistens.

Drakengard 3 - Kuroi Uta - The Black Song: 10. Hooooly crap that was amazing. Wow.

Undertale - Hopes and Dreams: 3. Probably my least favorite of the "big" Undertale tracks. I don't love the audio production here, and there are just stretches where nothing happens.

Pokmon Gold and Silver - Route 42: 5. Catchy, I guess.
