Japan rules the world with their animation and video games but when it comes to music and live action dramas, why do people go to korea for their fix? you would think all the anime fans would also like jdramas. and jpop music

They have better acting. Which isn't saying much, but J-drama acting is HORRIBLE.

They're two different fanbases. Sometimes they overlap, but not necessarily. Some actually dislike each other.

Uhh no? You have some examples? Because you can literally take a list of currently airing K-dramas and like maybe 5% of that are based off of J-Dramas.

Also K-dramas are better produced. I dunno what it is about live action Japanese material but they use a terrible camera, and their general looks coordination just seems off, like they're stuck in the early 2000's. They have this weird blurry filter that ends up looking goofy, but when they should improve the color of a shot, they don't do it right so it just ends up looking really drab and takes away from the mood of whatever the scene was going for.

Acting-wise, I think it really depends on the veteran status of their actors. Each side has their fair share of vets that steal the scene and cringey leads that got in the role due to being already popular or being pretty/handsome

J-Pop and K-Pop are a different story. K-Pop is basically devoid of any soul and sets an unrealistic and disgusting standard for their idols, but in return you get way more global fame and higher quality dance/singing/production. J-Pop has almost an embarrassingly low standard for dancing and singing. I can't even listen to any of their songs and their dances are just... fucking garbage, jesus. From what I hear, they're still open to just scouting random civilians and giving them a chance, so there's an army of failed idols and a huge revolving door of famous idols. They're both pretty bad for different reasons, but I'd never willingly get into J-Pop.
