I did like...15 years ago

it was especially crazy because the top topic was about a give away where you go to a website and answer some trivia questions, and they gave you a free promo card from the TCG. and of course the topic had all of the answers

it was great timing on my part, and I don't think I ever visited the board again

but its a coincidence you made this topic because I actually found that card yesterday

I never understood why people thought Kid Buu is stronger

he was weak enough to where Solo Goku and Vegeta could take him (if just barely)

they needed Fusions and shit to take out Super Buu and his absorptions

Thats probably because a ton of people hate on Gohan. There are people who think SS2 Gohan would lose to the Broly from the first movie lmao

Yeah sorry when I made my post, when they say super buu I'm thinking base super buu, not any of the transformations. If we're talking transformations, super buu takes it handily.

I know I'm on the losing side of this one but I always felt Krillin ENDED UP stronger than Tien

but the Tien argument is too strong, especially if you watched Dragonball. He was INTRODUCED way stronger than the two boys and kept going from there. He continued training when Krillin died, and at that point they haven't introduced the afterlife yet and the concept of keeping your body so they could keep training wasn't until DBZ. So he was just dead

Tien never got much training done at King Kai's and I always figured Krillin surpassed him somewhere but theres no actual proof of it

yeah especially in super, tien even runs his own dojo, while krillin works as a cop. Tien is definitely more of a martial artist than krillin, he keeps up with his training way more.

The Dragon Ball board also has Scotty_Rogers who I consider to be on the same tier as memoryman as far as weird, annoying Gamefaqs posters go. 90% of his topics are about Teen Gohan and "how I would have done it" fanfic.

Tien definitely deserves to be stronger. He was constantly dedicated to training while Krillin slacked off a shit load after getting a wife

It makes sense. Tien's life has always been dedicated to martial arts, whereas Krillin focused on family over fighting for a long time (edit: or yeah he slacked off bc googly eyes)

Now you could make a case for Krillin if he never stopped training. At his hypothetical peak he could possibly be stronger than Tien.

Honestly curious cause I'm not recalling, what comparisons are we using to draw this conclusion? All I can think of is evil buu curbstomping good buu, and kid buu...also curbstomping good buu.

Also SSJ3 Goku acting like he could be super buu with piccolo absorbed, and SSJ3 Goku saying he could have beaten kid buu if he went all out from the start. Neither of these instances draw any sort of clear conclusion imo.

I dont remember now, its been years since I paid attention to DB. I could probably dig up the answer but Im at work now. I do remember that it was conclusively Super Buu.

We need to bring mwc in here he has this down to a science.

I distinctly remember goku saying to super buu after gotenks fusion wore off "You aren't planning to beat me like THAT, are you?" Gohan was with him yes, but the way he says it implies he's stronger by himself.

He probably could have with fat buu yes, but during the fight with kid buu, goku is running out of steam and admits to vegeta he played around a bit so that vegeta could have a chance to fight.

also, random thought, most animes have filler

but DBZ seems to be the only one I've seen where Filler is completely detrimental to discussions

its all the more jarring because DBZ is a super casual show, which is fine, but when you talk about it with people, they bring up filler and you have to be like "That didn't happen in the manga" and they're like wut

I've never seen it this extreme with any other show

Oh well yeah, I didn't read the manga, only watched the anime, so I don't know much about what's filler besides the whole otherworld tournament saga. So perhaps my arguments should be taken with a grain of salt, since they're based on the anime which is undoubtedly different than the manga.

dub induced plotholes because of what Funimation decides to write in the script

I think Surpreme Kai describes Kid Buu as Buu's "Most dangerous form" and people take that and run with it thinking that means "the most powerful" when he never says anything like that in the original

I also think Yamcha "confirms" krillin is the strongest human in the dub too

you have to be super specific and be super knowledgeable of this thing when you want to talk about it with hardcores lol
