Imagine defending "the circle game" lmao. I mean who actually enjoys it? It's a game on the same IQ level of speaking in only grunts and shrieks or throwing your own shit at others over disagreements.

It's pretty clear that the people using the okay symbol aren't doing it to promote white supremacy, they're doing it because it's a 100% sure-fire way to get an overreaction from liberals who've bought into a 4chan hoax.

Im familiar with the circle game and this comes across as that. When the Internet came along it became somewhat of a meme to create funny or interesting ways it would be stumbled upon. Without assuming anything about the person this is akin to them giving the kid bunny ears.

There are indeed racist people. And people that want to cause merely controversy. But I personally dont see the harm in this and Im not willing to cause actual harm to a person by assuming any of that, even as a parent and putting myself in that situation.

The circle game lost all of its innocence when killers started doing it to promote their agenda. I don't give anyone the benefit of the doubt for doing it in 2019

I really think this whole thing is because Trump does it the whole time he's speaking and they want to call him a white supremacist.

So if someone fooled you into looking at their circle, you wouldn't try to defeat them by sticking your finger in it?

I have no idea what the circle game was. Back in my day it was the "okay" sign synonymous with the thumbs up. Both were used to communicate non-verbally. So people stretching to say some people doing the okay sign is somehow promoting mass murder because that piece of shit did it, is well .... a stretch.

That image is exactly what Im talking about. The meanings behind words and signs change as the culture changes. Unfortunately, an innocent children's game has become code for white supremacy. The same way the dumb Pepe Frog cartoon was appropriated.

That too of course. Its the official sign in diving to signal to other divers that everything is fine, for instance.

Was it with one of the parents taking the picture? Was he gonna punch them if they looked?

This happened back in march of this year. The earliest mentions of this being the new KKK welcome slogan are from aug-sep-oct. I love wrongthink being retroactively applied to past actions. It's great.

If someone throws up a Roman Salute around children, Im not giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Off topic perhaps, but i just want to point out that "Heil" gesture being a "Roman Salute" is a historical myth, with absolutely evidence of it ever being a thing.
started with a painting (Oath of the Horatii, late 1700's).

It's basically on the same level as the idea of Vikings having horned helmets.

This has been a thing for a couple of years now, and especially prominent since Trump took office. What you're referring to is it being officially listed by the Anti-Defamation League, which is more recent

I would ignore them unless they tried to punch me, in which case I would overreact somehow and possibly just call the cops and press assault charges.

That's a pretty odd use of the "okay" sign.

Strange timing, strange placement and seeming without reason. It's suspect if nothing else.

Exactly. He?s some asshole trying to sneak it on in. At best he?s some edgelord.

Man you must really hate that little kid doing the same gesture then in the same pic.

Oh wait you ignored that part because it didn't fit you utterly insane narrative.

This is a dumb as fuck reason to fire someone and you literally ignoring reality to be mad about it just demonstrates that

It looks like the kid is touching his thumb to his middle finger, not his index finger. I could be wrong because pic is small on phone, but when I viewed it, it appeared that his index finger was extended and his middle finger was the one curled to his thumb.

it's the same hand gesture and you know it

Kids mimic adults or do random things they're told to do when they seem innocent without context, and you know it (and this kid didn't even do it the way it was intended for him to do)

oh come on this is bullshit and you know it

it's a fucking okay gesture

This also reminds me of randomly learning that Scots men didn't wear kilts in William Wallace's time. I can't remember where I heard that but I think it was on the show QI
