Most of his lines were adlibbed, so the localizers removed them to be more true to the original script. They also changed the opening and closing songs back to the original Japanese ones. I honestly hate it. I saw a showing of it in theaters recently, and it was like watching a movie from a slightly different parallel universe. Luckily, I still have a DVD of it with the original version of the dub.
