How much would it cost to live on 2 acres in San Francisco? $219,000 is what it cost me in Camp Verde, Arizona and just under 1 acre in St. Clair Shores cost me $176,000. I like having a little property.

I visited the city once & really liked it-- but between the ridiculous cost of living, massive homeless problem (and it's apparently gotten even worse since I was there years ago), crime rate, and various other things, I would not like living there.

You know, its increasingly possible to get a good tech job without having to deal with SF

I live in Madison, WI, and there are ample tech careers, a reasonable cost of living, and lots to do, without having to deal with the negatives on living on an overstuffed peninsula

I've lived on the west coast before and I'd love SF but it's too pricey for that much poop on the streets imho

I have almost 5 acres of property on which to do things. There is a creek in my backyard. I can sit beside the creek undisturbed because it is downhill from the road and surrounded by trees. I could probably go down there naked and no one would even see me. Lol
I have very few neighbors and very little traffic on my road, though it makes for a nice relaxing walk.

Did I mention there are no people?
There's no motivation for me to move anywhere else tbh.

I live in an expensive area myself, so I cant dink SF for the cost, but I just dont understand why anyone would pay so much to live in such a filthy, crime-ridden place unless theyre unable to relocate out of it for some reason. I havent been there myself, but the folks I know from SF mostly seem to say negative things about it.
