The games wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many pointless cutscenes. They have basically no story but constant cutscenes. I wanted to enjoy ultra sun but it was so much of the same thing again I just couldn't stand it.

I wanna disagree but I can't even disagree tbh. I lost interest in Moon version as soon as Ultra SuMo was announced, and now I actively have to force myself to play at this point. If it's not talking to every NPC just in case they have some dumb sidequest I feel compelled to do even when I know it's just for money, it's the flood of cutscenes that don't really go anywhere. Like goddamn, I'd rather just play a PMD game at that point, at least then I'd get an actually decent story out of it.
