Would it give me issues on PS3?
I still game on my PS3, but Im wondering if doing a name change on PS4 will affect my save data or trophies on PS3. I've heard there's issues with some save files, and trophies syncing. But this was shortly after they rolled out the name change update. Not sure if they've ironed things out since then

I changed my real name from Giancarlo Carlini to Mister Moo. I got tired of doing close friend requests and they didn't use their real names. When I filled out my info when ps4 came out, I didn't know it was optional.

Update:
so I changed my PSN name on PS4 and it looks like it changed my PS3s name too. Downside is that when I played Black Ops 1. I ended up getting demoted from 15 prestige all the way back to level one, but I mostly play single player games on my PS3 anyway now and I only popped in Blops just to test it out. Good thing is that my dlc for Blops still works, like zombie maps and dlc multiplayer maps. On PS4 my Rainbow Six Siege stats, level, weapons and dlc are all good no problems.
