Assuming that's your only issue, yep!

If your mobo is as old as your power supply, I'd probably update it too if your display issues are solved from this.

Hmm, OK. My motherboard and CPU are also from that time, or thereabouts. But what should I look for in a power supply?

May as well post this here too:

Tried clearing the CMOS, apparently my motherboard doesnt have a button instead theres some pins you have to short in a certain order. Did that, plugged everything back in and still nothing on the monitors. One interesting thing did happen, after clearing the cmos I forgot to plug the graphics card back in, so when I turned it on I got a message on one of my monitors saying turn off computer and plug in graphic card power cable. I plugged it in and the monitors went back to being off when I turned the pc on again. It was just interesting that it displayed something with the gpu unplugged.

Oops, sorry I thought I responded to your last post and was waiting for the next update.

https://www.gamingscan.com/psu-hierarchy/

Id recommend anything in Tier 3 or better that fits your needs.

Without calculating anything else about your rig except the GPU, could probably get by with 550 watts, but 650 is a solid wattage for just about any setup.

I was doing my own research and looking at the Corsair RMX 550 watt, looks like that one is in S Tier on that list!

So, I turned the PC back on and the monitors are getting signal again! I haven't tried anything yet, is there anything I should try testing it out right now while everything is working? I currently have the old hard drive unhooked, replaced with the CD Drive and I'm going to go into the stuff my PC parts originally came with. I'll use any CDs I find to downloaded whatever I may be missing.

I should mentioned that B2 error screen still popped up for a second before everything started running fine (and I've seen that screen a lot as it turns out, I think most times I've turned on the PC in the past year or more have had B2 screen pop up for a second).

Is this after a PSU replacement or no?

Just in case, I'd download a program like SpeedFan or Open Hardware Monitor and keep an eye on your voltages and temps. If you see anything hinky, especially in regards to your GPU, shut down asap.

https://openhardwaremonitor.org/

Also I'd still count on replacing that 8 year old PSU if you didn't.

I'll try those out. I'm also pretty sure I didn't have DirectX 11 installed until today, which may have also been bad?

In the past couple of days I've played a couple multi-hour sessions of FF14 on this PC. I've had no crash and no lost signals so far. Perhaps one of either unhooking the old hard drive, doing that CMOS clear thing, and making sure DirectX 11 was installed helped? I used the speedfan program too. Here's what it showed when I used it basically after I just logged in:

And here's after like, a minute or two after playing 2 or so hours of a game:

Bump, so far so good. Everything seems to be working as intended, it I want to make sure it stays that way before I consider my options.

So it's been over a week? And everything has been running fine. I need to try out some other games though.

Have you reattached the old HDD? If it wasn't a problem you can get the extra storage back and if it was then you know you had multiple part failure which, sadly, may be bad news for any other old parts remaining.

Ganon, have you tried swapping your gpu back to your original after you got it working to verify the gpu was indeed the issue? I think it would be important to find the exact culprit here if you can. If you can safely pinpoint it to the gpu, that is good. If it continues to work well with the old gpu, it helps narrow down what exactly was the issue here.

Right now, I'm using the original graphics card. The only thing new in the PC is the SSD, I took out the original HDD and it is still out now.

Wish I could help more. I've always wanted to build a proper awesome PC but I'm afraid it's gonna end up with me spending a bunch of money and something like this happening.
It's actually pretty easy and fun! If you decide to, lmk and I will help you with it.

Ganon that 88 temp is a bit worrying. Everything else is fine on that picture.
