Hope that the Astros enjoys those 2017 rings & the 2017 WS trophy, because they won't be having them again for a long, long time.

Especially when some of those great players might go onto other teams.

I'm sure they will, it was only two seasons ago. It's not like they are the Maple Leafs or the Indians.

They're always gonna have the 2017 rings and trophy though,

But I get what you mean, they're like the Golden State Warriors of baseball. Extremely talented but they didn't win enough as their talent would suggest otherwise

I know, but many of their fans expected them to win another ring & another WS trophy, like the Giants did throughout 2010, 2012, & 2014.

Never bet on dynasties in baseball.

They still have a bright future, losing Cole is big, but they still have a lot of strong pieces.

they've got a stranglehold on that division for the next several years. the American League is really top-heavy

There's no reason they can't win in the next few years. They've got a strong farm and are loaded with talent.

And the cool thing about franchises that rarely win championships is that the fans treasure them for years to come. Yankees fans are more miserable this decade than cubs fans were before 2016.

Yeah, I mean it really came down to a game 7 world series, that's not something to be terribly disappointed about.

In hockey last season, the Tampa Bay Lightning were clear favorites, and they got swept 4 games to 0 in the first round. THAT is cause for concern. Not a game 7 final loss.
