I know I will. It's the only place to reliably get games on release day. Trying to get them from walmart and best buy is like pulling teeth.

I would. Im also one the ones defending it against all the exaggerated issues tho. It must be hard to have ypur customer base be a bunch of finicky whiners that don't understand the first thing about running a business.

I only go like 3-4 times a year tho. Im definitely not helping them stay open. My gaming habits changed

If there was an alternative that I liked it wouldn't be so bad, but I wonder how consumer friendly the industry would be without many options for used games and mostly digital in the future.

Yeah.

I like their buy 2 get 1 sales they do all the time, and they're so hilariously out of touch with actual going prices that you can get some good deals.

But me saving a couple bucks isn't as important as burying their stupid policy of opening a game and then selling it as new.

I agree that is is stupid as fuck. But at the same time, if you actually care, the workaround is "Do you have any sealed copies?". Then you buy it if they do and don't if they don't. It's not forced on you like people like to pretend.

Not the ones we have in Canada I certainly wont. I have some fond memories from a few midnight releases like 15 years ago but that was the fun of being with others and hypes for a game.

I havent given gamespot (EBGames in Canada) my money is years and I dont plan to when there are a million better options

It's only happened to me once, because I didn't know. It's more just that they even do this at all.

I used to visit regularly while I was in the army. If you lived in the barracks you didn't have a proper address for mail, so if you preffered physical copays GS is the best option.

Anyways I don't believe their going anywhere. There's always going to be a demand physical copys.

Fuck FuncoLand. They threw away original boxes and sleeves and manuals that were in perfectly good condition and replaced them with their shitty cheap cardboard sleeves and still charged the same.

Dude you've been off your rocker (more than usual) the past few days, what's going on

I definitely don't feel like it. I've also stated this view here before. It's nothing new. I just believe in learning to speak up or learning to shut up. That middle ground just annoys everyone around you. Don't hold your tongue until it's time to complain.

Of course, it's a way to get out of the house and do something. Blockbuster I feel the same way about I wish it never left. I visited my local blockbuster till it went out of business I believe in 2010 or so.

Only thing I don't miss is their super overpriced candy and popcorn near the checkout. I could deny it easy myself, but when I had my two girls with me they'd actually want some of it. Just because it's there doesn't mean you should get it, the grocery store or gas station had the same exact candies for much cheaper.

I always wondered who that was there for. Makes sense that it's for the people that aren't actually paying for it themselves.

Yeah, I have a vague recollection of my brother paying 75 dollars to replace Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 2, cause no one else had it at the time. Those were fun reads though.

I rarely step into Best Buy, but I figured they'd be on top of that. They always are good with release day delivery, as is Amazon, so I don't ever go to stores for release day stuff.

Gamestop can have some okay sales on new stuff or B2G1 on used stuff which isn't bad, I don't hate them like I'm apparently supposed to.

I only go there like 3 times a month and buy stuff maybe once a month. Why would I miss it just because there isn't another good alternative at all in my area?

Seriously though I'm pretty neutral about the store but I do use it pretty often and would hate to lose the easy access to games.
