Speaking as someone who was actually here during the war (Croatia) I would advise you to just not bring it up. It's in the past, though many of us on both sides live with the horrible consequences.

An unpopular truth, but truth nonetheless, is that all of us normal adjusted people have nothing against each other. We are well aware who forced the war and why, as well as who fought in it and who the culprits are. By and large, the civilians and survivors are all decent people who were opposed to the war before and during the fighting.

Kosovo was never not Serbia, but it has ceased to be Serbia recently because the Albanian population pretty much ousted the locals. Some would call this karma I guess.

Im off of work and out of town until Monday and its taking a whole lot to not text her since itll be a while until I see her again. Havent texted all day but I dont want to seem needy by hitting her up every day.
