They would be a lot better off

Attention Millennials: quit blaming everyone else, and start putting the blame on where it belongs, yourself

For the record: I am a millennial, who has a career making almost $20 an hour(and Ive only been there a year) I have my own place, and my own vehicle, life isnt as hard as you make it, its not the boomers fault youre stupid, its yours.

your own place -and- your own vehicle on $20/hr?

I mean... nice work on the job... but it sounds like the vast majority of your paychecks go to paying off debt, unless your parents helped out with that vehicle/house.

I save about $600 per month, so not really

My truck payment is $250 per month, and my rent is $500 per month, I also live in a major metro area, so no, its not as hard as millennials want it to be

You live in a closet or something? What major metro area are you in where you can get a place for that cheap? Places where my commute is nearly 2 hours in each direction is over double that.

I've notice more entitlement with Millennials than any other generation: they expect to live in a house in the city, they expect to eat out every night, they demand the newest car - with all the features, they demand $15-20 for flipping burgers, ect... He said $600. If hes a little bit outside of the city its definitely possible (15-20 minute commute) and its 100% a full size 1 BR. I was renting a 2 BR for $750. I bought a house with a 25 minute commute for 70k. TC is jaded because he doesnt realize Pittsburgh is still cheap as hell to live in and around. My coworker lives a 2 minute walk from my work and his 2 BR is only $1,000 a month.

After working multiple service and security positions, I've come to the conclusion that this sense of entitlement is not an age thing. There have been a lot of older people at the complaint desks, trying to get discounts on food that aren't available, get annoyed and complain when their jokes aren't laughed at. American society has long been in the mindset of "I have money, give me what I want" and "I'm grown, I'll do what I want despite what the rules on your sign says".

So let me get this straight.

You are scheduled to pay $250/mo on a consumable until you have paid far more than its value at purchase, which at that time will be many times its value, as a charge for not paying everything upfront... And yet you opt to put $600/mo into a dadgum cookie jar instead of diminishing that principle?

What exactly are you saving for?

Perhaps the rate of return on his savings is higher than the interest on his car.
