I have a strong work ethic and a full time job. I am able to meet new people without any form of social anxiety and I'm able to communicate personally, face-to-face, rather than use social media to do so. I am not obsessed with latest fads and don't care if I have the newest Iphone or whatever the trend of the week is. I am able to watch a performance or event and can appreciate it for myself instead of worrying about recording it for all of my social media friends to see. I can respect authority and I do not believe I am entitled to anything. I have to work for it if I want my lot in life to improve.

If you're 38 or younger in 2019, you're a millennial.

I think that's just what wikipedia says, is there any real proof that's the actual gap?

That's exactly me bro and I'm 30.

I've been busting my ass at $15 an hour doing heavy construction/yardwork/painting 8-12 hours a day and have been enjoying it. Always ready to wake up and get something done to make someone happy. Currently saving up to buy a house. And I don't mean a downpayment (More than enough for that) I'm talking out-right buying a house. Payments for 15-40 year is BS. 5 more years and I'll have it.

I can do the job of 2 if not 3 of your typical 20 year old worthless walmart worker that plays with the phone 3 quarters of the day. (yes I understand there are some good young workers out there, but most of them are pretty over entitled nowadays)

That's according to the literal definition as someone born between the years of 1981 and 1996, following Generation X and preceding Generation Z. It's axiomatic.

It's not axiomatic because there's different opinions on what constitutes a millennial.

I take it as this

all millennial are born between 1980 and 2000

I think each generation is 20 years long

I don't even know what a millennial is anymore. Growing up, I think they referred to my generation as either X or Y; I never heard the term millennial until well past the 2000s and then suddenly I learn that's my group. But, it seems like the media still calls even young kids millennials still and my generation has almost nothing in common with kids under 20 years old (mid-30s here).

I guess I don't really give a shit what someone arbitrarily labels me.

I *do* hate that I had a baller ass childhood with classic NES, classic Nickelodeon, holographic shit in every store and on everything, Goosebumps, fuckin' movies with real explosions, having to rewind VHS tapes, having a family outing to go to Blockbuster or the video arcade or even going to the fucking park and hanging out

And then all of that's like gone and everything's all fucking commercialized and sharing my childhood with my children will be that much harder because everything they ever need is a remote and TV screen away.

I always thought it should be Gen Ten. Because they grew up in the '10s. But I don't name these things.

So basically you're a millennial who doesn't fit the general mould/stereotype of a millennial.

Cool.
