I still can't get over the fact they made a decepticon turn into a hot girl. Since when can they emulate people?

I always thought it was ridiculous how many cool (and ridiculous) things the decepticons could turn into while the autobots were just limited to ground vehicles.

Alice was based on the Pretender concept from the Japanese Masterforce series. Four Autobots from that show were said to have landed on Earth many years ago and to help blend into society they had armored humanoid forms that could regress into an average human. There were three Decepticons that could do this too but took the forms of demons.

I just couldnt get into the movies even though I loooved the G1 cartoon as a kid. At first I didnt like how all the robots had so many tiny moving parts all needed hinges and actuators just too busy for the sake of being busy and complicated. But what really turned me off from them was these giant heavy metal things are fighting and hitting each other, being flung into the ground and all kinds of shit and they barely make loud sounds of clanking and crunching. I mean it should sound like bulldozers being hit with wrecking balls.

One has a dude just trying to rebuild theyre home on earth and megatron even helps one or the other and optimus kills em all. It was a weird one that didnt feel like a good guy thing to do. Dunno if i was broad enough to avoid spoilers.

You should definitely watch bumblebee. I grew up with the original cartoon, and several times during the movie, I knew who the autobot was. Maybe not the name, but I remembered their face from the cartoon since it wasn't a junk pile on legs.
