Diversity is never a problem and only the smallest of handful of people think otherwise, problem is people beating you over the head with and/or promote it as one of the primary if not the most prominent aspects of your movie just to jerk off to how progressive you are.

In case you didn't notice OT Rebellion was very diverse in both skin color and aliens, and the trilogy had a strong female character as one of the 3 primary characters. Meanwhile the Empire high ranked officers and officials were all white men.

If you dislike a movie that shouldn't mean you automatically ally yourself with everyone who dislikes it. That's weird. You could dislike a movie for completely different reasons.

This goddamn hive mind shit is what pisses me off about fandoms in general, and why I refuse to partake in any of them.

And it is a very particular hivemind. I've known people who don't like the Last Jedi, and find the backlash against it completely anathema to their own tastes. Not just the abhorrent behavioral patterns, but the very reasoning behind their arguments.
