I don't even know who any of the mods are, other than Shotgunnova - only because I used to use his FAQs for different games, and I get nostalgia whenever I see him post.

It's kind of boring compared to previous years. For once at least a good portion of the users aren't totally classist asshats. I actually can read posts from at least 60% of the users without getting angry like I used to coming here.

Because they found out I hate what some of the users here, especially in previous years, stand for. I let someone know that comparing me to classist, fat-shaming misogynists was the biggest insult to me - so people tried to bank on it.

I don't pay attention to user names for the most part.
The only names I know off the top of my head are matcha, darkroast, veggy, L7, and ppp.
Of those - L7 is probably most deserving, but he's only 50% of the equation.

Cold easily.
I know it's a cliche - but I can put on more clothing, I can't take more off.
I'm overweight, hairy, tall, broad, and have a fast metabolism. I give off tons of heat and get hot very easily. In the summer I basically need a fan on me or AC up high to even have sex.

I haven't been enough places to make a judgement.
I like most rust belt cities, because a good portion of them have a lot of counterculture and personality. I'm sure a lot of Southern cities have some amazing food -- and certain parts of the South have some really beautiful architecture and nature.

It'd probably be like - some city in Kansas or the Dakotas or something.

I think the Dexxit thing is dumb as fuck. It's been explained that the majority of the Pokemon taken out either 1.) dominated competitive play and ruined diversity, 2.) were starters or legendaries, or 3.) are Pokemon nobody gives a fuck about anyways like Luvdisc and Nosepass.
I think THAT part is total overreaction.

As for the rest, though. I don't know how I feel about the exp share. I think it's cool they're getting rid of EVs, because those were so tedious.
BUT I don't think it's cool that the game is so short, that you can't capture higher level Pokemon, and a few other things.

So I'm torn.

I think it looks pretty, despite popular opinion. I think the Pokemon designs are the coolest since Gen 5. I LOVE the starters. I like Switch

So, youre a dietician right? Is it truly JUST CiCo for weight loss? Not saying you should just eat very small amounts of crap, but could you do that and successfully lose the same weight as if you are strictly healthy (at least by say AHA standards which is one of the top diets thats actually evidence based)

I'm not a dietitian. I'm a dietetic technician. I have an associates - and I never even registered.
I toooook --
A&P I and II
Biochem
Basic Nutrition
Intro to Dietetics
Nutrition Applications
Some food service management classes (Sanitation and Safety, Food Production, Cost Control Procedures, Purchasing Procedures, Intro to Supervision)
Lifespan Nutrition classes (pregnancy and lactation, early childhood nutrition, nutrition through adulthood)
Medical terminology
Public Speaking
Nutrition Application in Long-term Care
Professional Development
Very, very basic MNT I, II, and III (nowhere near as in-depth as actual Dietitian programs)
and four internships (3 were 1xx hours, the other was 2xx hours)

To give you some background so you don't think I'm super, super qualified. I think I'm more qualified than a good majority of people on CE who seem to have crazy opinions and THINK they're qualified -- but I'm not quite an RD XD

That said --
I'd say, in the broadest sense, being a healthy weight doesn't necessarily mean you're healthy. Your labs, mental health, cognitive health, etc. are just as important -- and some diets may help with weight, but negatively impact you in those areas. Dieting should never just be about weight loss - it should be about finding small lifestyle changes you can make that are sustainable.

Food is the most personal thing to most humans next to sex; cultures and traditions can be totally defined by food. Depriving yourself of the enjoyment of food isn't healthy in a cultural sense, in my opinion. Plus we identify eating disorders as much more than just anorexia or bulimia; severe limitation of what you eat can be considered an eating disorder (ie. only eating foods of a certain color, only eating chicken tendies, etc.), binge eating without purging is identified as an eating disorder, excessive/obsessive exercising to achieve a caloric deficit to the point that you're actually hurting your body is also an eating disorder.

If by the AHA diet you're referring to the DASH diet - then it IS preferable to eating smaller amounts of calorically dense, non-nutrient rich foods and empty calories. The DASH diet ensures that you're not eating too much sodium, that you're getting a proper macro-nutrient distribution, you're getting enough of each fat, you're getting enough dietary fiber, etc.

As far as following a "restrictive" (mostly just in its sodium limit) diet like DASH vs. just eating normally and keeping a deficit -- if the former is too difficult to maintain and would cause mental or emotional stress, then the latter could be preferable, at least in my opinion. I'm sure you're aware of how much stress can impact your health -- and making sure your life is culturally rich and you're still able to enjoy life with those around you is important, too.

I don't know if that answers at all? I probably didn't say anything you don't already know.
But if you want an interesting journal article to read about the timing of eating, lol:

I guess to sum everything up -- food is tricky, food is highly personal, nutrition counseling and/or weight loss should be individualized. If a restrictive diet is too difficult then it's not worth it. There's a fine balance between calories in/calories out and eating "healthy," and I think other factors such as emotional, mental, and cultural health are just as important as actual weight and/or labs.

EDIT: I'm much more akin to soft sciences than I am hard sciences, that's why it may seem like I'm emphasizing those last three factors.

I love Bobby Hill.
King of the Hill is probably the second funniest show of all time to me, after Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Bobby is probably the second or third funniest character after Bill and Peggy.

My girlfriend wants me to. There are 4 accredited online didactic programs in the US. Right now I'm just picking up prerequisites at a local community college that my DTR program didn't include.
What stinks is 2024 dietitians are going to require a masters; I guess my plan is to just get the bachelors online, then find a masters program locally (there are TONS here in southeastern Michigan) and get a masters internship instead of a bachelors one.
