Most bakibros keep up with Kengan Ashura. Similar vibes, though I haven't personally kept up beyond the first arc. Too much on my plate as is.

I know its just mindless tournament fights repeated but I still enjoy it. The ring entrance stuff is oddly good and it's the first decent use of cgi that I've seen in anime.

Just wondering. I know/heard that the fighters in Baki are based on real life fighters. Are the fighters in Kengan based on real life fighters too?

Just wondering. I know/heard that the fighters in Baki are based on real life fighters. Are the fighters in Kengan based on real life fighters too? You'll find some national stereotype parodies, ala Street Fighter, but not really otherwise. The fighting is absolutely fantastical. Baki has "real" fighters, but in the sense that the author takes real people, avoids copyright by adjusting their names sometimes, and gives them ridiculous superhuman capacity, while pretending it's totally legit. Dude is the epitome of audacity. For example: Muhammad Ali didn't have Parkinsons: His identical son, Muhammad Ali Jr., just beat him that badly in a fight. --- formerly evening formerly guide https://youtu.be/Acn5IptKWQU ...
