only thing I heard about it is that it's too expensive for what you get (apparently the game sold for the equivalent of $90 over in Japan)

Naw, it's backwards the way they are doing things now a days. It would be one thing if they waited 5 years then added a ton of content, upgraded graphics or features It's not what they did though. It could of been dlc expansion.

Not bothering with Royal. Scramble looks pretty cool though, basically an action RPG sequel.

If you want the almost the exact same game plus maybe 10 hours of new stuff at the end then Royal is definitely for you.
