But it's not surprising to see all the people coming out of the woodwork to hold it up to intense scrutiny - it's disappointing, but not surprising. The rallying cry used to be "if you want to inject your politics into games, then make your own!" Gay or transgender people in pre-established franchises? That ruins the experience! How dare you make my favorite thing ever "political"? But now people ARE making their own game stories with gay and transgender characters, and the same crowd are calling them disingenuous hucksters doing it for woke points. You can't win. Just admit that you don't want "SJW shit" in video games. If you have no problem with stuff like this existing despite your personal distaste for it, there's a whole world of video games that suit your preferences. You play as him and his sister Alyson. This isn't some token character who pops up to say "I'm transgender!" and either fade into the background or die for cheap drama points. The few comments expressing worry that it's just posturing on DONTNOD's part - I don't think this is gonna be another Le Fou situation, where Disney jerked themselves off for making him gay despite only including two jokey scenes that vaguely implied it. Certainly there's a chance I would play this, unlike any of the Life is Strange sequels. I'm not too keen on it only being three episodes, though. It'd take to have a lot more content per episode than Life is Strange to not feel short as fuck. I usually play these games after all episodes are released anyway so the wait isnt something I've been personally bothered with. Is this an Xbox/Microsoft exclusive though?
