It's about the full picture. Ambassador Taylor has decades of experience, both military and diplomatic, and his testimony clearly demonstrated how withholding foreign aid to a country in a situation like Ukraine hurt American interests at home and its strategy abroad.

He might not have firsthand knowledge of that specific conversation, but he certainly has a wealth of knowledge and can provide insight on the situation that few others can.

It was for several months, it was money that had been approved for release from the Legislative branch and the Pentagon, and there was no legitimate reason to withhold it.

I don't see how anybody could possibly support the GOP at this point and not be ashamed.

Trump could be caught on camera shooting someone in broad daylight and they'd still find some way to bring in Hunter Biden or Hillary's emails.

Unfortunately I don't think a lot of people do.

A lot of people are getting caught up on the original whistleblower's complaint and the original argument specifically about quid pro quo. And they're ignoring all the other ridiculous shit that has come to light in the wake of that complaint that we might not have otherwise learned about, but they're still stuck on "but we have to learn the whistleblower's identity otherwise it's fake".

Notice how Trump is shitting his pants keeping everyone who actually was close to it from testifying? Once they get Mulvaney on the stand, he'll tell us under oath what he told us on live TV. Trump withheld Ukraine aid on the condition that they investigate his political opponent.

Mulvaney will not testify, because Democrats seem to have no desire to actually enforce their explicit subpoena authority.

As I understand it, the question of whether or not he has to honor the subpoena is going through the court system - he's come out and said he's ready to if the courts deem it necessary.

Mulvaney's subpoena isn't being fought in the courts. He was going to sue the House himself, but he's since walked that back and is instead going to "obey the White House and Justice Department's direction for him not to testify."
I think the only subpoenas being fought in the courts are Russia/Mueller probe related.
