I ended up getting a slice of Pepperoni at both generic pizza place and Joe's. I noticed a slight difference but not huge. Both were good.

Walked to Dominique Ansell's bakery after and got there right at three which apparently is they start selling different desserts since everyone got this coffee shot thingy. There was also something else really popular that people kept asking for only to be told they were out for today. I got the Mini-Me Chocolate Cake. Pretty good, but too much sugar for me.

Continued to Ippudo after only to find out they close for an hour during the middle of the day, but that was probably a good thing since I had burgers for breakfast, then pizza, then dessert. I came back right as they were opening and got a spot before it filled up. Started with some Ramen - forget which but I think it was their recommended one on the menu. Totally forgot to order pork buns but luckily I was sitting right in front and saw them making over 100 while eating my ramen so I got that to end the night. Gonna say that was the best food I had all trip.

You don't get toppings at Joe's. NY pizza doesn't do toppings unless you go to a specialty place >_>

Go to prince street pizza if you want pepperoni.

Pepperoni is god damn fine, people are so dumb about NY pizza.

I get Di Fara's with pepperoni and green olives, it's excellent. Best pepperoni you've ever had on a pizza, super fresh and so meaty.

Pepperoni is wonderful but is completely unnecessary and even detrimental to a classic slice. I will not judge menji though because he's actually eating like a champ.

Menji if you want more pizza you can also go to keste (fancy toppings), prince st (square pepperoni), or John's (classic coal fired). All are close by to Joe's.

Or if you truly want the best, go to Pasquale Jones and get a clam pie.

mushroom good
vegetables good if you're into the sort of thing
just don't fuck up the flavor profile completely with something like pineapple and it doesn't matter just get what you like

It's not detrimental at all, you still get all the crust and cause and cheese flavor. It's like adding red pepper, which I guess some people argue ruins it also. It's financially inefficient maybe.

Red pepper does ruin it!

Joe's is meant to be a certain flavor. That's why they use supermarket pepperoni instead of good stuff. It varies by restaurant.
