Honestly, I probably just wouldn't do it. Or Id just be flirty and leading. Like "You guys look like you're about to get into something today/night". There's a compliment in there, cause you're saying they look well put together. And it leaves them open to tell you what they're doing but it also doesn't pressure them to tell you, cause they can easily evade turning it into an actual conversation.

My strategy is always to open the door but make it seem like it's completely up to them to walk through it. However, we're humans so they obviously can just not pick up what you're putting down. That's life.

Yeah, I know it's been said already, but I would avoid asking out customers. You might be able to get away with it at other kinda workplaces, but the drivethru specifically, I feel like that shit is always recorded and monitored.

I would say if you're really tempted to do it and can't hold it back, maybe find a way to sneakily find a way to make contact outside of work? Like I dunno what protocols are at company to company, but idk, mention having a facebook/youtube/instagram/etc if you're really hitting it off with a chick. But even then, the drivethru moves so quick it seems not-doable.
