Your post reminds me of an old lesbian friend of mine a couple years back who would have friends over for drinks all the time too. Her room mate was her best friend since they were kids, but he secretly had the hots for her and he was basically her pet all the time doing chores, errands, and favors for her with no return.

One day she found out he slept with her long time girlfriend while they were in the midst of breaking up. It was the first girl who socialized with him in years.
