He makes several great points about the truck. (between this video and his twitter)

1. How it's actual competitor price wise is a top trim Ford Raptor (a niche and expensive vehicle), not a base model F150 they keep comparing it to in their bullshit marketing campaign

2. AutoPilot, 0-to-60, and $1,500 a year in fuel savings. It's a tough sell, especially as Tesla doesn't stand alone with AutoPilot anymore and most truck owners don't care much about 0-to-60. It's just not compelling on the same level that 3 and S are.

3. In the past, Tesla fans didnt even have to mention fuel cost as a compelling reason to buy the cars there were so many others. Today, Tesla fans are clinging to it, because there are NO others. Bolt fans were also hardcore TCO people, and look where it got them. F150 fuel cost is $2K a year with average miles. Tesla truck will take years to recoup that, and doesnt recover from the huge range loss when doing truck stuff

4. Not even 2 weeks ago, consumer reports removed Tesla's "recommended" rating for reliability. Seems their horrible part availability, build quality, and anti-right to repair stance is catching up with them

Total cost of ownership could turn around dramatically if oil prices rise up. It doesn't seem likely given the state of the industry right now though.

If oil prices go up, so will the cost of electricity as most of our electric plants are fossil fuel based.

Not anywhere near as much as the increase in cost at the pump.

That falls in line with point #3

Tesla is a meme/status symbol and is relying heavily on that
