There's legitimately nothing wrong with having weapon type specific abilities. It helps to make the weapon types feel different.

This. Fuck it even more if the rates for stealing that particular items are shitty. Fuck it to the maximum if it's on a rare enemy with even shittier spawn RNG than the items themselves.
