But overall the anime is worse. For example the water 7 arc was dragged out so much in the anime that its not even funny. They somehow managed to make my favorite arc unbearable to watch. dameon_reaper 11/28/19 6:28:36 PM #61:	The anime has many faults but I still prefer it over the manga. I can't read the manga very well because there's a lot going on in the pages. I watch the anime in short bursts rather than weekly. I marathoned the Whole Cake Island arc and was satisfied even with the padding. I love watching on my Roku because I can tell exactly where the episode starts(where the episode title pops up) and I can just scroll past the opening and all the opening padding. Although I know that's only a cop out..if you can read the manga, go with the manga. Its definitely the better way but like people said earlier, there were only some things you could do in the anime such as comedic timing and the music. Luffy singing on Skypiea, for instance.
