I've only done MGS2, but I did it (on the PS2 version no less) with no radar and Game Over if Spotted.

I beat MGS3 on Extreme, and I honestly think I would have had an easier time on European Extreme. I usually reset the area every time I get caught anyway, so playing on EE would just save me the trouble.

Volgin was probably the worst, dude could kill you in like 2 or 3 hits

Ultimate Volgin strat is to CQC him to the ground, melee him with a 2-handed weapon, interrupt the animation after the damage is done by switching to another 2-handed weapon, meleeing him with that, and then diving. It's the most optimal way to damage him afaik.

Only MGS2:S, no radar, I used the jump out trick on Liberty and the AI loop on the RAYs tho. I think Harrier is the hardest boss.

imo Fatman actually takes the crown. There is no way to easily cheese him and even when you abuse his behavior, you can still lose to a bad bomb setup. You can abuse I-frames from the hanging animation on the Harrier fight to trivialize 80% of the fight.

I believe I did on MGS2 because you needed to play all difficulties to get the dog tag trophies.

Extreme and European Extreme have the same dog tags, so it's possible.

Nope; I've only ever played the vanilla versions.

Well, I did play 2 Sub but I was really more just interested in the VR, and really 2's normal Extreme was hard enough.

European Extreme is cool in theory but lame once you beat the game and have camo/infinite ammo. You don't get to play around on that difficulty in NG+.
